Zero Fuss

Privacy policy

Zero Fuss is an app that helps young children through their morning and bedtime routines. It is made for children with their parents. We built it to collect as little as possible: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and nothing about your child leaves your phone.

What stays on your phone

Everything you and your child set up is saved only on your phone:

  • the character’s look (skin, hair, pyjamas)
  • the routines and their steps
  • stars, stickers and the weekly goal
  • the country and city you chose for the weather
  • the app’s settings

We can’t see any of it. It is deleted when you delete the app. Your phone’s own backup (iCloud or Google) may include it, under your own account.

What leaves your phone

Weather

To choose clothes for the weather, the app asks our weather server for the forecast at the city you picked. It sends only that city’s position, rounded to about 10 km. It never uses your phone’s location, and the app does not ask for location permission. When you search for a city, the name you type is sent to our server to find matching places.

Our server runs on Cloudflare and gets the forecast and city names from Apple (Apple Weather and Apple Maps). It keeps forecasts for a short time so the same city isn’t fetched twice. It doesn’t save who asked: your IP address is only used, as a scrambled value, to stop the server from being overloaded, and it isn’t stored.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, it sends an anonymous crash report to Sentry, a crash-reporting service, on servers in the European Union. A report contains what went wrong in the app, the app version, and the phone’s model, memory, screen size and system version. Anything that could identify you, your child or your phone is removed, by the app before sending or by Sentry as the report arrives: no name, no device name or ID, no IP address, no location. We use crash reports only to fix bugs.

Purchases

Zero Fuss Premium is a one-time purchase made through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handle the payment and your account; we never see your name, email or payment details. The app only asks the store whether Premium was bought, so it can be unlocked and restored.

What we never do

  • No accounts, sign-in or email addresses.
  • No ads and no advertising or analytics companies.
  • No tracking of you or your child across apps or websites.
  • No access to the microphone, camera, contacts, photos or location.
  • We don’t sell or share any data.

Children

Zero Fuss is made for children aged 2 to 6. We do not collect personal information from children, as defined by the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Purchases, settings and links that leave the app are behind a parental gate, a small task for grown-ups.

Your rights

Because we don’t hold personal data about you or your child, there is nothing for us to show, correct or delete. To remove everything the app saved, delete the app. If you have a question, or believe something here isn’t right, write to us and we’ll answer.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts to handle data differently, we will update this policy and the date at the top before the change ships.
